Female cop punched at Grand Prix

A drunken reveller allegedly punched a female police officer in the head at the Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne.

Police say two men were being ejected by security from the Albert Park race track on Sunday evening, but they wouldn't leave their beers and police were called.

One of the men, a 51-year-old from Point Cook, allegedly lashed out and struck a female officer, who needed treatment for her injuries.
