Federal election vandalism case delayed

A court case against four Labor supporters over allegations they were involved in politically motivated vandalism at Melbourne polling booths on election day has been delayed.

Andrew Landeryou - the husband of Labor senator Kimberley Kitching - David Boutros-Asmar, Dean Sherriff and George Droutsas were all listed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Wednesday for a mention.

But the case has been adjourned until March 15, which is when Landeryou, Boutros-Asmar and Sherriff are expected to front court on charges of theft and criminal damage over an incident in St Kilda on July 2.
