Pair questioned over fatal Vic assault

Two people have been released after police questioned them about the death of a man in regional Victoria.

The 57-year-old died in hospital on Thursday after he was allegedly assaulted in Warrnambool on Wednesday.

Homicide detectives on Friday released a 44-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, believed known to the victim. They were interviewed and released pending further enquiries, police say.
