Far-right activist defies uniform order

Far-right activist Neil Erikson is being pursued for contempt after failing to obey a court order to hand back his uniform to Toll after wearing it in inflammatory videos.

The convicted stalker and racial vilifier was ordered by the Federal Circuit Court to hand back his uniform to Toll this month, after the freight group accused him of trying to deliberately damage its brand.

Erikson was sacked by the company about two years ago, but he or his associates have continued wearing the Toll uniform in videos and at events.

The court heard on Tuesday Erikson had breached court orders by failing to hand over the uniform items, including one boot, tops, shirts, cargo pants and a belt, by the set date.

He also continued to publicise footage showing him clad in a Toll polo shirt, when he ambushed Senator Sam Dastyari at a Footscray pub book launch in November, when the Iranian-born senator was called a "terrorist".

Earlier in 2017, Erikson, United Patriots Front leader Blair Cottrell and Christopher Neil Shortis were convicted and fined for inciting contempt and ridicule of Muslims after a 2015 stunt.

The trio chanted "Allahu Akbar" in a video and spilled fake blood on the footpath and wall of a garden bed beside the Bendigo City Council offices, protesting the building of the Bendigo mosque.

The latest matter was adjourned to January 15.
