False report on Vic car park stabbing

Police say they are no longer looking for a suspect linked to an alleged stabbing at a Melbourne shopping centre car park this week.

A woman in her 20s told police she was stabbed by a man while walking across the car park in Stud Road, Rowville on Monday.

After a short investigation, detectives are confident the original report made to police was incorrect and they are no longer looking for a suspect.
