EW Link docs to be released: Vic premier

Victorian Labor will mark the end of its first week in government this week as Premier Daniel Andrews renews his promise to release the East West Link contracts.

Mr Andrews said last Thursday's swearing in ceremony was an important moment for everyone involved and for the government's plans.

"We will honour the commitment we've made around those documents," he told reporters on Sunday.

"This is not a simple thing.

"Many of these documents are Cabinet-in-Confidence but I am determined and it is my view that the new Labor government has a clear mandate to release these documents."
