Equipment stolen as firies fight Vic fire

An $11,000 thermal imaging device has been stolen from a fire truck while the crew fought a Melbourne fire.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade firefighters were at a house fire in St Albans early Sunday morning when male thieves stole the equipment from the back of the truck, police said on Monday.

Police have released an image of the hand-held thermal device, which is kept in a heavy-duty black case.
