Eight arrested in Vic, Qld during raids

Drugs, guns and cash have been seized and eight people arrested in Victoria and Queensland during raids on properties allegedly linked to an organised crime syndicate.

Eleven properties in Melbourne, country Victoria and Townsville in Queensland were searched by police on Monday morning.

Police say they seized two firearms, two imitation handguns, a homemade firearm, a samurai sword, $4000 cash and drugs - and arrested eight people, including one Townsville man who is awaiting extradition to Victoria.
