Duo arrested after ramming cop car in Vic

A police officer has narrowly avoided being hit by a car driven by a 21-year-old woman who rammed a police car and then drove into the front of a pub in Melbourne.

Police say they approached the car - with suspected stolen number plates - in Sunshine early on Monday before it reversed suddenly, almost hitting an officer, and then smashing into the police car.

The driver then tried to speed away but lost control and crashed into a pub.

The woman and a male passenger, also 21, were arrested.
