Drunk Vic driver 'did 172km/h on freeway'

A Melbourne man has lost his car for 30 days after he allegedly drove at 172km/h with a blood alcohol level more than three and a half times the legal limit.
Police will allege the man was driving 72km/h over the 100km/h speed limit on Eastern Freeway in Kew about 2.15am on Saturday.
It will further be alleged the driver returned a blood alcohol breath test reading of 0.177.

The Mont Albert North man, 31, has had his car impounded for 30 days and will be charged by summons with speeding and drink driving offences.
