Drag racers have cars impounded in Melb

A pair of drag racers have had their cars impounded and had to be picked up by their angry partners after they were left stranded by the road in Melbourne.

An unmarked police car followed the cars, clocking them at double the speed limit as they raced through Kealba on Tuesday afternoon, reaching speeds of 140km/h, police say.

The two men, aged 23 and 26, who didn't know each other, had their cars impounded and were collected by their furious partners after their cars were towed away.
