Derek Percy's likely child murders

DEREK PERCY IS BELIEVED RESPONSIBLE FOR SOME OF AUSTRALIA'S MOST NOTORIOUS CHILD MURDERS:

* Killed seven-year-old Linda Stilwell - St Kilda, Melbourne, August 10 1968.

* 15-year-olds Christine Sharrock and Marianne Schmidt - Wanda Beach, Sydney, January 11 1965.

* Six-year-old Allen Redston - Curtin, ACT, September 27 1966.

* Three-year-old Simon Brook - Glebe, NSW, May 18 1968.

* Percy was found not guilty by reason of insanity of the murder of 12-year-old Yvonne Tuohy at Ski Beach, Warneet, Victoria, on July 20 1969.

* Percy had also been named as a suspect in the disappearance of the Beaumont children - Jane, nine, Arnna, seven, and Grant, four - in Adelaide in January 1966.

* Percy, Victoria's longest serving prisoner, died in custody in July 2013.
