Couple saved from Vic fire by passerby

A woman has likely saved a sleeping Melbourne couple after tooting her car horn and knocking on the door to alert them that their home was on fire.

Fire crews were called to the Narre Warren house just before midnight on Wednesday and quickly brought the fire under control.

While the occupants made it out of the blaze unharmed, their home has been left with extensive damage.
