Guards assaulted, Vic prison locked down

Two prison guards have been treated in hospital after they were assaulted at Victoria's maximum security women's prison.
An inmate allegedly assaulted the two staff members on Friday, sending the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre into lockdown.
Both injured workers were treated by paramedics and taken to Sunshine Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A hospital spokeswoman said one was discharged on Friday afternoon while the other remained in a stable condition.
Corrections Victoria and police are investigating the incident.
"The safety and security of staff is our highest priority and we take any assault or allegation of assault on staff very seriously," a Corrections Victoria spokesman said.
