Cops struggle to identify Vic pedestrian

Police are struggling to identify a woman who is critically injured after being hit by a car in Melbourne.

The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was hit when crossing a street in Brighton just before midday on Tuesday.

Victoria Police say the woman, who has brown hair and was wearing a blue visor and running shoes, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
