Cop hurt in alleged Victorian car ramming

A police officer has been taken to hospital after a man allegedly rammed an unmarked car in regional Victoria.

Police say officers attended a property in Lara on Thursday where a 39-year-old man rammed their car before driving off, crashing his car and trying to flee on foot.

Officers arrested the man and allegedly found a firearm in his car.

The male officer suffered a hand injury and was taken to hospital, while the accused also sustained minor injuries and is yet to be questioned by police.
