Complaint over Vic election insult

At least one formal complaint has been made to the Victorian Electoral Commission about bad behaviour at state polling booths.

Prahran Labor candidate Neil Pharaoh said a complaint was lodged after a Liberal volunteer allegedly called a Labor volunteer "a fat b****".

"She was obviously quite upset by that and has been unable to continue helping us out today," he said.

The VEC couldn't confirm whether they had received any complaints, but said any that were lodged would be reviewed by the commission.

"We can't release details of any complaints until the complaints are dealt with," a spokeswoman said.
