Dad with a ‘heart of gold’ undergoes surgery after alleged stabbing
A father-of-two who was allegedly stabbed on a Melbourne street after he tried to confront a group of teenagers has undergone multiple surgeries.
Colin Sheean approached the young men after they allegedly tried to break into a car in Langwarrin at about 12.20am on Saturday.

Police believe a confrontation occurred and the 41-year-old was allegedly stabbed.
Sheean was taken to The Alfred in Melbourne with life-threatening injuries, where he has undergone multiple surgeries.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Police arrested three boys on Saturday, including two 16-year-olds from the Casey area and one 17-year-old from the Frankston area.
They have been charged with intentionally cause serious injury in the circumstances of gross violence and intentionally cause serious injury.
An online fundraiser has raised more than $100,000 for Sheean, who is the father of two girls aged 11 and 14.
“Sadly five years ago he lost his wife and the girls lost their mum Natalie when she died from a sudden and unexpected cardiac arrest,” the fundraiser said.
“He is in the fight of his life and has a long journey of recovery ahead of him.
“He runs the family business and if he is not working there is no money coming in for the girls.
“He is going to be off work for a long time and there are going to be significant medical expenses so this money would be a big help for them.
“Colin is the sort of guy who would do anything for anyone.
“He has a heart of gold and it was no surprise that he stepped in.
“The last thing anyone would ever expect is to be stabbed outside their own home.
“His girls have already been through so much.”
