Prosecutors have dropped all charges against a Victorian police officer who was accused of repeated unauthorised access of the state's crime database.
Crime Command senior constable Michael Brian Walsh was charged with nine counts of accessing information on the Victoria Police Law Enforcement Assistance Program database, contrary to his duty, on various dates between May and November last year.
But when his matter was mentioned in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday, prosecutors announced all charges would be withdrawn.
