Charges after Melbourne supermarket attack

A homeless man has been charged for allegedly punching a stranger outside a supermarket in Melbourne's north.
The 18-year-old victim was allegedly assaulted outside a supermarket on the corner of West and Geum streets at Hadfield on June 29, Victoria Police said.
He was taken to hospital with a broken jaw and other serious injuries.

A 20-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested at a shopping centre in Preston on Friday.
He was charged with intentionally cause serious injury and theft of motor vehicle and is expected to face Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
