CCTV shows man point shotgun at Victorian service station attendant

Police have released CCTV footage of an armed robber who threatened a service station attendant with a firearm and fled with cash in Newborough, south-east of Melbourne.

The petrol station on Naracan Drive was robbed on January 30.

The footage shows the man standing at the counter with what appears to be a can of drink on the bench, when he reaches down and pulls a gun out of a bag, then points it at the worker.

After the worker opens the till and gives the offender a wad of cash, the man puts the gun back in his bag and flees.

He was seen crossing railway tracks onto Hagans Track nearby, Victoria Police said.

Detectives also released images of the suspect, who was wearing a blue check hoodie, grey tracksuit pants, black shoes and a green beanie.
