Car smashes into Melbourne fruit shop

A car has slammed in a Melbourne fruit shop, catching fire and injuring two passengers.
The 23-year-old man was driving while suspended and with false numberplates, police say.
The car crashed into the Clifton Hill shop after colliding with another car in the early hours of Thursday.

Witnesses have reported the car ran a red light.
Two female passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries, but the driver wasn't injured in the smash.
A man in the other car received minor injuries, but didn't need hospital treatment, Ambulance Victoria says.
