Car hits house, fence and two cars in Vic

A man is in a serious condition after his vehicle crashed into two parked cars, a fence and a house in Melbourne's west.

Police say the man lost control of his car in Brookfield, leaving behind a trail of destruction before crashing into a house about 1pm on Saturday.

No one at the property was injured.

The 55-year-old was taken to Footscray Hospital.
