Bus crashes into Melbourne hair salon

A Melbourne hairdresser has told of the terrifying moment a bus ploughed through her busy salon.

An empty bus was parked at a Knoxfield bus stop on Thursday evening before it suddenly rolled forward and crashed through the wall of the salon.

Business owner Melinda Turner says her salon was full of customers but miraculously no-one was hurt.

"We heard this incredible loud crunching, and you don't even know what's going on, and then suddenly there's a bus in the middle of your salon," Ms Turner told AAP on Friday.

"One man sitting closest was pushed back in his chair but he was alright".

Bus company Ventura has been contacted for comment.
