Bumbling Vic thieves fail at research

Bumbling thieves have broken into the wrong shop in a quest to steal cigarettes.

CCTV footage of the four balaclava-clad men shows them using a crowbar to jemmy open a shop in a Melbourne shopping centre on Anzac day, only to find it was the wrong shop.

After briefly leaving the scene, the men returned and broke into a tobacconist, where they filled a doona cover with a large amount of smokes, police say.
