Brandis to open Melbourne law conference

Under-fire Attorney-General George Brandis will open a conference for Australia's top legal professionals in Melbourne on Thursday.
Senator Brandis is under fire following the resignation of Solicitor-General Justin Gleeson on Monday after a damaging row between the pair.
The row related to Senator Brandis' proposal that anyone seeking advice from the solicitor-general had to put the request in writing for his approval.
