A young boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Melbourne's northeast yesterday.
The nine-year-old boy was riding his bike on Plenty River Drive in Greensborough yesterday when he was struck by a car and knocked onto the road at about 8pm.

He was airlifted to the Royal Children's Hospital where last night he was in a critical condition.
The driver of the car, a 22-year-old man, is in custody and assisting police with their inquiries.
