Boy, 7, dies after Victorian accident

A young boy has died after being struck by a car in central Victoria.
The seven-year-old was hit by a four-wheel drive while crossing a road in Newstead on Saturday.
He died from his injuries in the Royal Children's Hospital on Tuesday.

A 51-year-old Newstead man has been released without charge, police said on Thursday.
The death takes Victoria's road toll to 191, compared to 178 at the same time last year.
