Missing Vic boy, 3, reunited with mum

A three-year-old boy found in a stranger's front yard in suburban Melbourne has been reunited with his mother.

The child was found in the yard of a home in Marina Ave, Melton at 10pm on Monday, but a doorknock of the area failed to find his parents.

The boy - who was wearing a T-shirt with a toucan on the front, white socks and a nappy - hadn't been able to tell police his parents' names.

His mother arrived at the police station on Tuesday morning.
