Bomb squad cordons off Melbourne house

The bomb squad has been called to a house in Melbourne following the discovery of a suspicious device during a drug raid.

The device was found at a property on Cambridge Drive in Berwick about 7.50am on Thursday while police were searching the house.

Surrounding houses have been evacuated and the street blocked off as a precaution, a police spokeswoman told AAP.
