Bikes stolen from Nitro Circus star's home

Three custom-made freestyle motocross bikes owned by Australian Nitro Circus star Cam Sinclair have been stolen from his Melbourne home.

Police believe at least two thieves stole the bikes from the former X Games gold and silver medallist's Cranbourne South home between 2am-5am on April 24.

Sinclair said he woke up to find his shed, which housed eight of his show bikes, had been broken into.

Some of his neighbours had been robbed on the same night so he's unsure whether his home was targeted or the thieves came upon the bikes by chance.

"They hit a gold mine when they hit my shed," Sinclair told AAP from Perth while preparing for shows on Friday.

"Our shows start tomorrow so I had to get one bike built really quickly." The rider said each bike would be worth around $15,000 and would be hard for novices to navigate.

The bikes have since been spotted in the Cranbourne and Dandenong South areas.
