Arson squad to examine Melbourne unit fire

The police arson squad will investigate a suspicious unit fire in Melbourne.

Witnesses described flames higher than the roof of the Watsonia unit before firefighters arrived just after 10pm on Thursday.

An arson chemist is expected to arrive at the unit on Friday morning to determine how the blaze started.
