Alleged hit-run victim left in Vic gutter

A man has been found lying in a gutter with serious head injuries after a suspected hit and run incident in Melbourne.
The man was found in a Melton West street about 1am on Wednesday, police said in a statement.
Shortly after the man was taken to hospital, another man, 22, from Melton South called police and handed himself in.
