Airport-bound driver 5 times over limit

A man hoping to fly past police on his way to Melbourne Airport has been caught with a blood alcohol level allegedly five times over the legal limit.

The 51-year-old South Australian man returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.256 per cent on Tuesday after he was stopped by police near the Melbourne Airport entrance.

His car was impounded and he is set to be charged with drink driving.
