Accused $4.7m meth importer in court

A Hong Kong national accused of importing $4.7 million of methamphetamine to Melbourne in a shipment of toys has been held in custody.

Long Sang Cheuk, 22, faced the Melbourne Magistrates's Court on Wednesday on charges of importing and attempting to possess a commercial quantity of a border controlled drug.

He did not apply for bail and was remanded until October 21 for a committal mention.
