Man rescued from balcony after being trapped by Melbourne apartment blaze
An apartment fire that led to a dramatic rescue in Melbourne's inner-north has been deemed non-suspicious by police.
The blaze broke out on the third floor of the Abbotsford apartment about 7.30pm last night.
A man who was forced onto his balcony after attempting to escape the flames was rescued by firefighters.

The man in his 40s was treated for upper body injuries and was taken to the Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.
Residents in surrounding apartments on Flockhart Street have told 9News that they heard a loud bang.
"We saw the fire billowing out from there and it was really intense," witness Eloise Taylor said.
