27 caught in Vic car theft crackdown

Twenty-seven people have been caught by police for drugs, burglary and theft in a crackdown over stolen cars in Victoria.
Operation Influx targeted crime in Melbourne's northern suburbs with six people on outstanding warrants arrested and a 33-year-old Bundoora man charged with stealing a motor vehicle and traffic offences.
Police spoke to 482 people, checked more than 3200 vehicles and issued 71 penalty notices in one day.
