Melbourne woman rescued by fire crew after getting her hand caught in juicer

A Melbourne woman working at a grocery store has suffered a serious hand injury after it was caught in a juicer she was cleaning.

Emergency services were called just before midnight on Thursday, after the woman's hand was trapped when the machine turned on while she was working on it.

A fire crew took about 30 minutes to free her.

The woman, in her 20s, suffered a number of fractured fingers.

She was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
