Vic woman struck by car dies

A jogger has been fatally struck by a car east of Melbourne.

Police believe the woman, in her 30s, was running along a road in Stratford when the accident happened about 6.30pm (AEST) on Monday.

She died at the scene.

The male driver of the car stopped and alerted emergency services.

Police are investigating and will prepare a report for the coroner.
