Melbourne woman dies after being hit by car

A woman has died after being hit by a car in Frankston.
The 60-year-old woman was crossing Fletcher Road in Frankston just before 9am on Thursday when she was hit by a Holden ute.
The Frankston North woman died in The Alfred hospital yesterday.

Police are interviewing the driver, a 23-year-old Bonbeach man, as part of their investigation.
The fatality brings Victoria's provisional 2014 road toll to 189, compared to 176 for the same time last year.
