A trip to get some takeaway food with mates in dad's BMW turned awry for a teenager caught driving at 120km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police intercepted the 19-year-old driver of the 2003 BMW 5 Series sedan in Keilor, in Melbourne's northwest, last night.
The teenager told officers he was returning home from getting takeaway food with friends.

The car was impounded immediately for 30 days under hoon legislation.
"The Keilor man returned home with nothing but a melted sundae," a police spokeswoman said.
The driver is expected to be charged on summons with speeding.
