Vic police arrest hooning 53-year-old

A 53-year-old Melbourne man has had his car impounded for hoon driving.
Highway patrol officers were conducting a speed check on the Princes Highway on Thursday when they detected a Holden GTS travelling at 190 km/h in the 100 km/h zone.
The vehicle was intercepted at Newmerella, east of Lakes Entrance, where the driver was arrested and required to hand over his keys.

The car has been impounded for 30 days under hoon laws.
The driver is facing charges of conduct endangering life, dangerous speeding and other traffic related charges.
