Family of Victorian MH17 victims encourages mourners to donate to a Nepalese orphanage

The family of a Victorian couple who perished in the MH17 disaster have asked mourners to donate to a Nepalese orphanage instead of sending flowers.
Liam and Frankie Davison will be honoured on this afternoon during a service at Toorak College in Victoria's south east, where Ms Davison was a long-serving teacher.
Ahead of the service, the family asked the couple be remembered with a donation to a cause they were passionate about.
"Liam and Frankie's families have been extremely touched by the love and support received over the past week," the statement read.
"In 2011, Frankie and Liam visited the Annapurna Self-Sustaining Orphan Home in Pokhara, Nepal, where they were both touched by the incredible work being done there.
"These efforts rely largely on donations, in which the Davisons were instrumental over the last few years."
A trust has been set up in the Davisons' memory.
The family said that rather than bring flowers, those wishing to support the Davisons could send donations to this fund.
Mr and Mrs Davison leave behind two children, Milly and Sam.
