Victorian father who 'dressed daughters as ballerinas' before smothering them confirms guilty plea

A Melbourne father who dressed his young daughters in ballerina dresses before killing them has again pleaded guilty to their murders.

Charles Amon Mihayo, 36, two weeks ago pleaded guilty in the Melbourne Magistrates Court to murdering four-year-old Savannah and three-year-old Indianna on Easter Sunday.

Court documents show Mihayo dressed the girls in ballerina dresses and filmed them dancing before smothering them with a pillow.

After they died Mihayo bathed them, then redressed them in the ballerina dresses and called police.

Mihayo, of Watsonia, confirmed his guilty plea in the Victorian Supreme Court today, and will reappear on November 5 for a plea hearing.

His legal team will file an expert psychiatric report, the court heard.
