The Veronicas 'pursuing legal action' after Qantas incident

Aussie singing sisters The Veronicas are now considering legal action after being sensationally booted from a Qantas flight after a baggage bungle.

Qantas claims twins Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, 34, were asked to move their luggage into an overhead compartment on the Sydney-to-Brisbane flight before it left last night.

The sisters, just 5'1" in height, asked the flight attendant to move it for them but new rules introduced in March mean Qantas flight attendants can't touch passengers' luggage for safety reasons.

An argument broke out, and ultimately the decision was made to boot the sisters off the flight for causing a disturbance.

The accounts from witnesses on-board vary: some claim The Veronicas were being argumentative, while others say it was Qantas staff who were the aggressors.

Australian Federal Police were called in, and the entire commotion ended up delaying the flight by an hour and a half.

The sisters both took to social media yesterday to share a post (also shared from The Veronicas' official account) that criticised inadequate handling and reporting of an "'incredibly intimidating and confusing" situation.

They are right now at home on the Sunshine Coast.
