All-female team in minor crash at Bathurst 1000
The all-female team of Renee Gracie and Simona de Silvestro have had a minor crash at the Bathurst 1000.
Gracie heavily crashed into the barriers at 'The Elbow' on lap 16 on Mount Panorama, prompting a visit from the safety car.
However the crash was minor after two horror smashes in the preceding days.
There was a clean start this morning as the field was able to make its way safely up the mountain for the first time, despite Brad Jones Racing driver Jason Bright almost stalling on the grid.
Sitting on the second row of the grid, Bright seemed to get stuck between gears and was slow to get away, holding up those behind him who had made a better start.
However, the hold up did not cause any major headaches with the field able to clear the first corner without incident.
