Unlicensed driver charged after bizarre crash on Gold Coast

An unlicensed driver has been charged after allegedly driving a four-wheel-drive onto a footpath and crashing it into a tree on the Gold Coast overnight.
Police were called to Main Beach at 9am after reports the car was being driven erratically, however when they arrived the car had crashed.
A 31-year-old man was charged with dangerous use of a motor vehicle and will face court this morning.
