The public sector union is taking Employment Minister Michaelia Cash to the national workplace relations tribunal claiming she's flouting the Fair Work Act for which she is responsible.

The CPSU claims the minister has failed to engage in good faith on enterprise agreements for Commonwealth public sector workers.

"There's a bitter irony that we've had to take Minister Cash to the Fair Work Commission to get her to fulfil even her most basic obligations," national president Alistair Waters said.
