Union official's permit appeal rejected

A construction union official who was filmed abusing a government employee on an Adelaide work site has lost his appeal on a work site ban.
The Fair Work Commission said it didn't agree with CFMEU official John Perkovic that the 19-month ban on his right of entry permit was as a result of a Fair Work official seeking to "punish" him.
Mr Perkovic had already been fined $5000 by the Federal Court for the May 2014 incident when he was filmed abusing a Fair Work Building and Construction inspector.
