Police are seeking the identity of a man found with life-threatening injuries near a shopping centre in Melbourne’s south-east.
Emergency services were called to Beldale Court, Berwick, after the injured man was found lying on the road about 10.20pm.
He had suffered serious injuries to his head and upper body, and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Officers are yet to identify the victim, who is believed to be aged in his 20s to 30s, and has a Indian Sub-Continental appearance.
He was wearing a burgundy, blue and white shirt with burgundy track suit pants and had no shoes on, police said.
